Engr. Aben Cistus Tita, the founder, brings his personal experience of growing up in an orphanage and his expertise in Petroleum Engineering to lead the organization with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by orphans.

Since its inception, ACT Foundation has trained over 500 children across six orphanages in Cameroon, including Mispa Orphanage, Good Shepherd Orphanage, Helping Hands Orphanage, Akum Orphanage, Divine Providence Orphanage and St. Therese Orphanage

Technology Training
Our Professional Trainers conduct hands-on workshops and classes in the orphanages mostly when the children are on breaks.
Vocational Skills Training
Skilled artisans and vocational trainers run practical training sessions within the orphanages.
Educational Support
Tutoring in core subjects such as science, mathematics, and English, as well as study skills workshops. Volunteer educators offer after-school tutoring and weekend classes to help children excel academically.
Mentorship & Health Programs
Professionals and community leaders mentor the children, providing guidance, inspiration, and support through regular sessions and one-on-one interactions. Healthcare professionals conduct workshops on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and mental health.

ACT Foundation: Empowering Orphans with Essential Skills

ACT Foundation was born out of a burning desire to equip orphans with essential skills in technology and other vocational areas. The founder, Aben Cistus Tita, who himself grew up as an orphan in the Good Shepherd Home located in Abangoh, observed firsthand the necessity of providing vulnerable children with practical skills. "I saw that equipping orphans with skills would be much more impactful, thereby teaching the child how to fish," Tita reflected.
